The rally season 2007 is now over. For our team, it began inauspiciously. The driver's ill health, problems with the car,
and a serious accident in the Subaru Rally all combined to produce a rather dispirited mood. Yet two class wins (A7) toward the end of the season
(Nikon and Orlen Rallies) showed what team members Jan Chmielewski (driver) and Ireneusz Pleskot (co-driver) could do to impress.
What is more, for the first time the team took part in the Barbórka Rally, a prestigious event, even though it is not ranked for Polish Championship.
They made a successful appearance and not only did the WESEM Rally Team qualify for the famous "Karowa St. Criterion" (only 30 cars qualified out of more than 100),
but they came in third in their class. This result is all the more impressive considering that our Renault Clio Sport was only bettered by two S1600 cars,
which run in a higher class for the Polish Championship.
